In her free time, Ingrid has always been interested in utilizing the natural resources as a means of artistic expression. Over the years, her endeavors have encompassed the lapidary arts, English garden design, flower arrangement, and the making of pine cone ornaments. She learned the art of making pine cone wreaths from her mother who introduced her to the beauty of nature.
In the real working world, however, she is a trained Ph.D. scientist. She is a consulting environmental scientist for The Ratsep Group, Inc., a company that she co-owns with her sister. In addition, she has been an adjunct instructor at Thomas Jefferson University in Microbiology/Immunology and is currently an instructor at Montgomery County Community College teaching Microbiology/Immunology and Environmental Biology.
