 Watercolor, colored pencil, ink and collage are the mediums I use to create a visual story. I am inspired by my gardens, botanicals, animals, and children’s literature. I enjoy creating floral arrangements and terrarium building. Weaving these contextual elements together, along with different mediums-my artwork is expressive in nature. It is an exploration of visual elements, illustrative storytelling with a whimsical approach. I often use the simplistic nature of a pencil and paper to begin creating my ideas and artwork. By adding in color, composition and design elements into the thought process my artwork unravels into a visual expression of nature.
