The Clay Studio
We welcome you to our lovely, colorful clay studio attached to Hattie's historic farmhouse. We have six potters' wheels, a large slab roller, and all the Clay, tools, and glazes you'll need. All levels are welcome. Classes are offered in both wheel-throwing and hand-building. Find the class that speaks to you.
Adult Pottery
Foundations in Clay: Wheel & Hand Building
Get your hands dirty and explore the art of clay in this fun and supportive ceramics class! You’ll learn wheel throwing and handbuilding fundamentals, creating everything from bowls and mugs to sculptural pieces. We’ll cover essential techniques like centering on the wheel, slab building, coiling, and surface decoration, with plenty of room for experimentation, creativity, and personal expression. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to expand your skills, this class is a great way to grow your practice and connect with clay.

Intro to the Wheel - Summer Intensive
Want to learn how to throw but cannot commit to multiple weeks? We hear you and are offering a short but intensive summer class. You will learn how to throw on the potter's wheel or continue learning on your pottery journey. In this class, you will learn how to prepare your clay, center, and properly throw your very own pottery. More experienced students can take their throwing skills to new levels. Firing and glazing are included.
Students are encouraged to attend all sessions. Space is limited to 6 seats, and everyone will have their own wheel.
