The Clay Studio
We welcome you to our lovely, colorful clay studio attached to Hattie's historic farmhouse. We have six potters' wheels, a large slab roller, and all the Clay, tools, and glazes you'll need. All levels are welcome. Classes are offered in both wheel-throwing and hand-building. Find the class that speaks to you.
Pottery for Adults & Teens
Foundations in Clay: Wheel & Hand Building
Get your hands dirty and explore the art of clay in this fun and supportive ceramics class! You’ll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing and handbuilding, creating everything from bowls and mugs to sculptural pieces. We’ll cover essential techniques such as centering on the wheel, slab building, coiling, and surface decoration, with ample room for experimentation, creativity, and personal expression. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to expand your skills, this class is a great way to grow your practice and connect with clay.

Beginner Wheel Throwing~ Tuesday Mornings
Come learn how to throw on the potter's wheel or continue exploring your pottery journey. Although this is a Beginner Class, returning and more experienced students will find new challenges to help them advance their skills. In this class, you will learn how to prepare your clay, center, and properly throw your very own pottery. Firing and glazing included.
Students are encouraged to attend all sessions. Space is limited to 6 participants. Level: Adults and Teens aged 15+. Each participant will have their own wheel. Instructor: Melanie Pack
