The Clay Studio

Join us for a class at our colorful and intimate clay studio, where everyone is welcome—no experience necessary! Explore wheel-throwing or hand-building with full access to our potters' wheels, slab roller, and all the clay, tools, and glazes you need. Choose the class that inspires you and start your pottery journey today.

Our instructors are passionate about teaching and will provide you with the guidance and support you need to achieve your goals.

Summer Pottery Classes

Clay Foundations: Wheel & Hand Building

Get your hands dirty and explore the art of clay in this fun and supportive ceramics class! You’ll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing and hand building, creating everything from bowls and mugs to sculptural pieces. We’ll cover essential techniques such as centering on the wheel, slab building, coiling, and surface decoration, with ample room for experimentation, creativity, and personal expression. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to expand your skills, this class is a great way to grow your practice and connect with clay.

Beginners will learn the fundamentals of preparing clay, centering, throwing, trimming, and glazing, while returning students will receive personalized guidance and new challenges to continue developing their skills. Our small class size allows for an intimate setting with plenty of one-on-one instruction, and each student will have their own pottery wheel.         

Open to adults and teens ages 15 and older.
