Because camp isn’t just for kids!
This unique summer camp is designed specifically for adults who want to step away from their daily routines and dive into the world of ceramics and metalsmithing. Over the course of five mornings, participants will split their time between the pottery studio and the metals bench, gaining foundational skills in both disciplines while developing their own creative voice.
In the ceramics portion, students will explore both handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques. You’ll learn slab construction methods as well as get hands-on experience at the pottery wheel—centering clay, pulling walls, and forming simple vessels like bowls and cups. Surface design and glazing techniques will also be introduced, allowing you to personalize and finish your work.
In metalsmithing, participants will be guided through essential techniques used in jewelry and small metal object design. Skills will include sawing, filing, sanding, texturing, forming, and basic cold connections. Students will have the opportunity to create simple wearable pieces such as pendants, earrings, or small sculptural objects while learning to safely and confidently use studio tools.

Join us this summer at Hattie Weselyk Studio for an inspiring, hands-on Summer Art Camp designed especially for creative kids ages 7–14! Running July 13–17 from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, this week-long experience invites young artists to explore, experiment, and create in a welcoming, small-group studio environment.
Throughout the week, campers will rotate through pottery, jewelry making, and mixed-media art, learning how to throw on the wheel, hand-build with clay, and design their own unique wearable pieces. Each day offers a balance of guided instruction and creative freedom, so every child can build skills while expressing their own ideas and style. Whether your child is brand new to art or already loves to create, they’ll gain confidence, try new techniques, and leave with projects they’re truly proud of.
Beyond the art itself, camp is about connection—making new friends, feeling encouraged, and discovering the joy of creating something from start to finish. It’s a week filled with imagination, laughter, and meaningful hands-on experiences.
Campers should bring a packed lunch each day (nut-free if applicable), a water bottle, and wear clothes that can get a little messy—because the best kind of creativity often does!
